Two great days in a person’s life…

… the day we are born and the day we discover why.

That’s an inspiring quote. In fact, it’s one of my favorites. I had a poster of it right in front of me for almost 5 years. And this quote helped me push myself to the limits and get through the grind when things weren’t working. But it didn’t help me discover my “why.”

No inspiring quote or posters would ever help you to take action. I don’t see a point in getting inspired every waking hour of your day when all you end up doing is nothing. I call it getting accustomed to inspiration instead of taking any action. Which totally beats the purpose of having these quotes around you.

Sure, you know about the two great days in a person’s life. But so what? How has that information moved you? Dishing it out to someone in grave need of inspiration works but getting them to take action is another story.

I guess that’s the reason why people say knowledge is only “potential” power. You got to put it to use for transformation to happen. Including discovering you “why.” If you’re like me, you would stop wasting time (let’s not count the years gone by) and actually explore your big WHY.

If you can’t do it yourself, get a coach! But you better do something instead of staying “inspired.”
