Other people’s opinion is their problem, not yours


Unless you make them yours, of course. But even if you do, I invite you to consider these two questions:

  1. what makes “their” opinion so important to you?
  2. What does “their” validation or rejection mean to you?

Good luck answering these because once you do, you’ll never be the same person again.

As for me, I realized a long time ago that other people’s opinions about me are their effing problem. Not mine. The only opinion that really counts is the one I have about myself and those whose opinion “I” seek (the solicited ones).
