So, let’s wrap 2019 up?

Quite an eventful year for a myriad of reasons I can’t even list down. All I can say is that 2019 tested my wits, physical, mental, and emotional strength to the limits. And boy, I wish I could say, “I won the battle in the end” but that’ll be a lie. I lost a lot more than I (or anyone would ever) wanted and I’m still recovering from some of my most personal setbacks.

That said, I’m quite confident that the resilient warrior inside of me won’t give up until I’ve restored, regained, and reclaimed my life just the way I want it to be. Yes, I know that might sound overly ambitious but you really don’t want to “play it down” in this game called life. You just keep charging until you get what you want.

One of the most profound experiences I’ve had this year was rediscovering the power of one’s beliefs and thoughts, thanks to a mastermind study group I participated in. It was an eye-opening experience, particularly, when I realised that I’ve been mindlessly chasing success while it has been with me all along! The mastermind group helped me to focus on getting to a specific next level in my career instead of chasing some generic milestone.

The above has been one of the most important shifts in my life this year. It enabled me to not only cope with my problems but also set my sights high on a much more daunting summit that I need to climb. And the best part is that once you set your sights higher you not only expand your thinking but also begin to see your challenges as minor hurdles instead of life-altering (or shattering) setbacks.

So, if there’s one thing I were to share with you before this year checks itself out, it’ll be this — do not ever underestimate the power of your mind. You have to trust it to conquer not just your issues but the biggest and meanest of summits you can’t even fathom, if you let it. I think Napoleon Hill summed it the best, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.”

I’ll see you on the other side of 2020.

P.S. Oh, by the way, that mastermind group I talked about above was a “Think & Grow Rich Mastermind Study group.” I absolutely loved it! I’m supercharged to get back to hosting my own mastermind groups in 2020 starting with a leadership mastermind (on becoming a person of influence) in January.
