Fascinating Q&A session from one of Simon Sinek’s keynote speeches. I tried looking for the entire session but couldn’t. That said, this snippet should shed light on the measure of success that leaders and managers (who’re obsessed with metrics) should focus on.

Key points:

  1. Both performance and trust are important factors while measuring success, albeit relative to the organisational/personal/professional context.
  2. You’re better off with a team player who’s a consistently mediocre performer but trustworthy than someone who’s a consistently high performer but isn’t trustworthy.
