As you can tell, I’m obsessed with this pandemic. And it’s only been three days since I have been in self-isolation. My heart goes out to the millions who have volunteered to seclude themselves from the society for a brief while to fight the outbreak.
Great job by governments across the world to put measures in place to control the situation. Of course, there’s still room for improvement and there’s a lot to be done but let’s just say that this momentum is a great start.
The past couple of days I’ve been researching about pandemics and noticed that the past few have originated from China. I have nothing but respect for the Chinese but the pattern is alarming. I wanted to dig up more but the team at Vox Media has already done the hard work by putting together facts about this pattern. It’s pretty interesting.
